1948 Arab/Israeli War Medic Helmet

This is a repurposed WWII British helmet likely used by Israeli medics during the 1948 Arab/Israeli war, one of many conflicts they faced in the early days of their reestablishment as a nation.

Thanks for sharing, i love the Israeli stuff, hard to find. Where did you find this helmet, and when? Any idea whos it was? Ken

Got it out of New York about 10 years ago. Never really locked down an owner.

Very interesting fact, never knew that this existed. Seen one many years ago at a flea market and even the gentleman selling it did not know anything about it, and I left it on the table. Thank you for posting this helmet.

Thanks Tony, I wasn't sure what it was when I got it either. I "assumed" it was medical in nature but, it took a friend who collected IDF to confirm what this was.
