Franco Prussian War statuary

These are actually pretty nice figures, often confused as US Civil war, but they are actually a 1870 French solider and Sailor (Marine). The original bronzes were done by famous artist Aristide Croisy, these slag metal ones were recast from the molds and sold by a Department store in the 1920's I believe. They still capture some great filed gear details of the period.

Oh, super cool! Thanks for sharing! I would never had known they were Franco-Prussian. I'm always intrigued by the Franco-Prussian war. How big are these statues?
