Award grouping to a member of the Heavy Kruezer LEIPZIG

This award group was bought by a friend of mine who bought it from an other with contact with the family. The family retained the documents, but I do have a name, which I want to research. I am trying desperately to find a sail list of the crew that took part in operations supporting the Spanish Civil War. The final medal is a Moroccan award (Spanish controlled).

I think the absence of the docs made it affordable for me. Id be happy with photo copies even.

Interesting that the ribbon bar and Medal bar are not in the same order, however. Perhaps one was made after the other reflecting a change made to the order of precedence at the time?

I think that the ribbon bar was made after the medal bar. The last ribbon is an Ostvolk ribbon that is used as a substitute for the Moroccan award.

not to niggle, but I believe Leipzig was a light cruiser, the heavies being such vessels as Admiral Hipper, Prinz Eugen etc-
