Tonomachi Posted November 11, 2018 Share #1 Posted November 11, 2018 Here I have a side by side photograph of two Type 31 Soviet paratrooper badges. The one on the left has the standard dark blue enameling but the right one has a strange light blue colored enameling like you see on their sporting/civilian type Soviet skydiving badges. It doesn't look like a copy because it has the wartime hand etched numbering on the back. The only thing I can figure is that the original dark blue enameling was severally damaged and they used the wrong color blue enameling to repair it with. Any ideas?
