Iron Harvest: The unexploded legacy of World War I

This has been a topic on the internet for years. The term "Iron Harvest" refers to the thousands of unexploded artillery shells and other ordnance that continues to be found in Europe 100 years after the end of World War I. Equally, or perhaps even more dangerous are pockets of mustard gas that have settled into holes and depressions that are still deadly to this day.

This is a well done and illustrated report that recently appeared on CNN about Verdun prior to the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice.

Please feel free to add additional topics as they come up.
