Militaria of the Past

If had this for awhile. Unfortunately I don't know the history behind this. It could be a field modified EK 1st class to Knights cross or EK 2nd class. It also could just been done post-war and worn as piece of jewelry, but I use to have it displayed as a Knights Cross on one of my uniforms till I sold the uniform.

Made by CF Zimmermann/Godet

Would like to hear others opinions.

Could have also been converted to a watch fob or similar as a war trophy by a capturing soldier. I have photos in my collection of a US Marine who did just that with a captured EK in WWI.

True, that’s cool you have one with history behind it.
