SARGE Posted November 17, 2018 Share #1 Posted November 17, 2018 This is a Bavarian Feuerwehr (FW) long service award worn after WWI until 1936. The blue and white ribbon is the same as on the earlier Bavarian Fire Department award worn before 1918. This long service medal consists of a silvered oval drop with a combed Fire Department helmet enclosed in a wreath on the obverse. The reverse reads, "For 25 Years of Service Time" in German. There is also a gold version of this award for longer service time. This medal was replaced with the National FW service cross after 1936. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
