Mortaydc60 Posted December 9, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 9, 2018 Have a modest collection that i obtained 30 years ago and was able to ID many but have not idea as to what is common, rare, or otherwise. The only area that I have been able to determine is desireable is that of the Commandos. Any guidance welcome. thanks, Mort
509thPIB Posted December 9, 2018 Share #2 Posted December 9, 2018 Your question isn't so easily answered. The highest price ever paid for a WW II formation sign was £4000. https://www.bosleys.co.uk/en-GB/29th-august-military-badge-auction/auction_10016 Wednesday 29th August 2018 Prices Realised Cloth formation badges remain popular with an international collecting fraternity and £650 was paid for a 107th Light Anti-Aircaft Regiment attributed WW2 cloth felt embroidered formation sign. A rare embroidered windmill formation sign attributed to 710 Coy. RASC and issued for the West Holland District early 1945 sold for £600.
