Fur Hat (Pelzmutz) hat design was approved April 1942. Hats were issued with no insignia. Army,Red Cross and Police hats shown.  Rich A. in Pa.

I've noticed these aren't wildly popular with collectors but have always found them really neat. I have a couple neat studio portraits of them being worn in the studio

Very nice Rich! I too have wondered why these types of hats aren't more popular than they are, I've always liked them.

I agree way under appreciated and still a reasonable piece of war time head gear to collect
