Tony v Posted December 13, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 13, 2018 Ladies and Gentleman A new addition to my collection, I know nothing other than there are no markings on the bright blade that is 33 inches long. First one I have ever bought as I am just learning about the German blades. Tony

Rakkasan187 Posted December 24, 2018 Share #6 Posted December 24, 2018 Tony, This is a very nice sword. Glad you were able to find one in such great condition and the bonus is the hangar attachments.. Not too often do you find the hangar attachments as well with the sword as well as the sword knot (portepee).. Enjoy the blade and enjoy collecting other TR edged weapons Leigh
SARGE Posted December 24, 2018 Share #7 Posted December 24, 2018 Tony, I echo the kudos of the others who commented on your new sword. Actually, your sword could have been worn by either a Senior NCO or an Officer in this configuration. The Portepee is a standard Heer Offizier Portepee worn by both Senior NCOs or Officers in the Army. It is especially nice to have the sword complete with the accouterments. Enjoy! I would have never known that as I have no idea Officer or NCO. Thank you I need all the help I can get, always learning something new every day.
