stratasfan Posted December 14, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 14, 2018 Here is another cool badge. Most often I see the metal and enamel pin version of this come out, but this is a cardboard badge. A tiny bit of wire through the hole on top. Super cool! Anyone know where you'd have worn these? Were cardboard badges fairly common? (That's an inches ruler.) Guest tomcatter Posted January 5, 2019 Share #2 Posted January 5, 2019 Hi stratasfan, this is the standard badge of Forces Françaises Libres (Free French Ground Army): usually it was made of brass with enamels, but I suppose they were also produced in cardboard or plastic, as not all soldiers had money to buy a metal insignia (my two cents). I post a metallic badge for comparison.
