Old Marine Posted December 19, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 19, 2018 These are the Zvezda/Italeri 1/35 scale Cossack Figures I made about 10 years ago. When the Russian Zvezda kits came available I started picking them up whenever I found them. I accumulated 7 kits and put together 13 mounted figures. I did a bit of alteration on the horses and figures so that they all didn't look like clones. I really like the figure kits from Russia and the Ukraine they have good poses and nice detail. A lot of the Zvezda figures had a very heroic look to the poses and faces. A few of the horses and riders are straight out of the box, some of the others I had to cut and reposition the heads, arms and legs. The only real problem I encountered were the swords they all broke and were a bit too thick. I replaced all the blades with wire that I hammered flat. These guys took a long time to build and paint, but I am happy with the result. Anyway, here are a bunch of photos. I hope you like them and if you have any Cossack weapons, insignia, or other accoutrement please feel free to post them, I would like to see them.
