Mr.Jerry Posted January 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 7, 2019 I think this is a Prussian paymaster we just got in. I normally don't collect these but this one is making me rethink that. Plus it is really big and almost fits me!

12A54 Posted January 7, 2019 Share #3 Posted January 7, 2019 That’s a very nice example. Makes me regret getting rid of mine....
Dirk Posted January 8, 2019 Share #4 Posted January 8, 2019 Condition looks amazing and the detail on the Eagle superb! Of course once you get one, others seem to follow!
ww1czechlegion Posted January 14, 2019 Share #5 Posted January 14, 2019 Hi Jerry, Yes, congratulations, a beautiful Paymaster Helmet. It is missing the small gilt/brass color mini eagle on the upper tail feather/lower body area. I believe it is also supposed to have gilt/gold color retaining stars on the spike base instead of silver ones. The curved shaped chin scales are correct for paymaster. I wouldn't blame you a bit for deciding to keep it since it is such a beauty. I've attached a couple photos of my helmet. It's made by Depaheg Patent so it has a fiber body, and it came with a tan field cover. Best Regards, Alan
Bugme Posted January 15, 2019 Share #6 Posted January 15, 2019 I've owned a couple of these over the years because, like you, they are kinda neat. Sadly, I always end up selling them.
