RAF & Commonwealth Uniforms

For my first posting on the WMF I thought I might show some of my collection. Of the uniforms pictured the RAF, RCAF, PAF, and Ferry Command are represented. Quite a few of them are Americans that served in the RAF or RCAF before the US entry into WWII. Thanks for looking.

Wonderful looking collection. If you get time, some closer photos of insignia Wings etc would be great to look at.

Now that is a collection! I like the clouds on the walls too, very effective background without being distracting.

What an OUTSTANDING collection! Thank you for sharing the images with us. I will echo Irish's comment- we would all LOVE to see some more detailed photos of these gems. I would really like to see your Polish flyer's tunic. If you could flesh some of these out with the stories of the men who wore these uniforms, it would be very much appreciated.

Hi Vicjoy1945,

 

I have 3 polish Pilot uniforms. 2 - Fighter Command and the 3rd Bomber Command. I do intend to post them on the WMF in the Western European "Other Countries" section as there is not yet a separate section for Poland. I'm going to try and post one this evening. Thanks for your kind comments.
