Sregez80 Posted January 12, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 12, 2019 Hello, I received this Sword as a gift from a family friend. I am not an expert in edged weapons or even anything non US related and would like to hear what everyone's thoughts are! I believe it has a WKC makers mark on it but I could be wrong! It does not have a scabbard either. Let me know what you think!

SARGE Posted January 12, 2019 Share #4 Posted January 12, 2019 You have a WWII German Army Officer sword. It is made by WKC and is shown in their catalog as their Nr.1058 "Fein ciselierter Heeres-Offizier-Sabel mit Hoheitsabzeichen". Or, a fine chiseled Army Officer sword with swastika emblem. Thank you for the info! Any knowledge on worth? With and without Scabbard. I would like to think that purchasing a scabbard might be a good idea for value and completeness of piece. SARGE Posted January 13, 2019 Share #8 Posted January 13, 2019 A sword without a scabbard sharply affects the value in a negative way. As is, I see these sell for $100. - $200. without a scabbard. Finding one that fits is going to be the problem but that should almost double the value IMHO. Unfortunately most collectors will not buy a sword without a proper scabbard so interest is low as is. I hope this is helpful.
