West German Kevlar Helmet?

I don't think so, a Gefechtshelm M92, note the positions of the bolts or whatever they call them on yours, the German one has one on the side almost kinda like the old WWI-WWII styes where the vent hole was, here it's seems to be functioning both as a suspension split pin and a vent hole.

At least not the actual German helmet. When a new helmet was developed in the late 1980´s, early 1990´s a similar speciem was made by "Schuberth" company. As I recall these samples, called "hybrid helmets" had the same liner as the one posted by Robert. Are there any markings visible?

Hmm a Trial/Experimental helmet? That would make sense, the U.S. Kevlar had several experimental versions trialed in the 70s.

 

Here's one in 1974.
