Hi,

I've had this postcard for a while and haven't been able to ID what country and period these soldiers are from. Does anyone recognize them. I'm guessing somewhere in eastern Europe. Thanks for any help!

From what I can tell, the rifles look like German 7.92mm model 1898 Mausers. So the men could be German or allies of the Germans during WWI.

Good eye on the embossing! And good guess on the uniforms! As far as I can tell, it says Fotograf Silaba Kora Kutna. I looked it up and Kutna Kora is a city and region of Bohemia, which was part of Austria-Hungary until 1918, then Czechoslovakia after the war. So I'm guessing this is a photo of inter-war Czech soldiers. Doing some quick poking around I haven't yet found any matches to those big floppy berets. Thanks for looking!

Found this photo on the Internet of Czech soldiers in WWI. They were part of the Austria-Hungarian Empire. Those big floppy berets were really ugly!
