1st Pattern SS Danziger Skulls

I've always preferred the first pattern Danziger skulls over the more well-known and sough after 2nd pattern. These were also used as a traditions badge in a unit or two. There's a surprising amount of variety out there

At some point I'll assemble a small Allgemeine insignia display, but for now I figured I'd show the cap insignia...

I recently obtained on unmarked skull that came from a veterans estate sale with a nice 1st class IC, assault badge, wound badge, and several other items. I'm sure its a good piece but it has no maker marks on it. Is there any books available that would help in putting a good identification on it?

Why not post it here for discussion and review?

The left style shown in the 1st post is known as the lemon eye.
