Brig Posted February 3, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 3, 2019 I've always preferred the first pattern Danziger skulls over the more well-known and sough after 2nd pattern. These were also used as a traditions badge in a unit or two. There's a surprising amount of variety out there At some point I'll assemble a small Allgemeine insignia display, but for now I figured I'd show the cap insignia... Corsair Posted December 24, 2019 Share #2 Posted December 24, 2019 I recently obtained on unmarked skull that came from a veterans estate sale with a nice 1st class IC, assault badge, wound badge, and several other items. I'm sure its a good piece but it has no maker marks on it. Is there any books available that would help in putting a good identification on it? Brig Posted December 26, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted December 26, 2019 There's a good thread on WAF, but I don't know how many of these can be traced to makers, as I don't think any of the first patterns were marked
