My Enfield No 2 Revolver Project

Recommended Posts

At one of the San Jose Militaria shows a while back I picked up this demilled frame for a 1941 Enfield No 2 Mk 1 revolver for $10. Some years before, I was given a 1943 dated British holster. Figured I'd find some grips and it would make a cool display.

On the hunt for an original set of grips, I kept finding bits and pieces and decided to see how far I could go "rebuilding" the gun only with original parts. The grips were about the last things I managed to find.

This is about I could get without fabricating the rest of the frame. The mechanism actually works somewhat.

All told, it was a fun project, I enjoyed the hunt, but I'm fairly sure I could have bought a complete gun for what I've paid for the parts. Hence the "Dumb" in the title.

Has anyone else tried something like this?
