WWI medal for Young Combattants (Under 20 years old)

Well, after much looking, I finally found out what this medal is! It was made in the 1920s, and was a commemorative awarded to combattants in WWI who had been under the age of 20.

 

I bought this mini medal for a doll project, but it intrigued me to know what I was going to be modifying. :) So, I thought I would share pics of this, as it does seem to be a bit rare. Probably one of those cases of rare supply and no demand! -grin-

For reference, here is a picture of a full-size one. This is from the same seller I got my little one from, and doesn't mind me sharing the pic. Interesting that the star is enameled in colour on the full-size one!

Never even heard of this one, so albeit very likely an unofficial medal still rare I would think. Thanks for posting.
