Yes

Very nice!

Stuff I have never had or seen!

So much stuff to collect Sarge! What made you collect what you collect?

Thanks for showing! Others can chime in on why they collect what they collect!

I was a fencer in college so collecting swords was a natural extension of my interest in edged weapons I suppose. Actually, both my wife and I were fencers and she was on the university rifle team so I don't get grief at home from my spouse when I drag something new into the basement.

I am also a retired Police Master Sergeant so I come by collecting German Police stuff naturally. My interests make me a little bit like a crow in that I am easily distracted by bright shiny objects so I tend to carry them home from shows.

Here is something that may be of interest in the area of Police clamshells. Perhaps you have not seen one of these.

Two Extra-Seitengewehr both made by Eickhorn. The first is a Weimar Republic period short private purchase Prussian Police clamshell made from NOS parts by Eickhorn. The second shows the post-1936 modifications that were made to one of these bayonets by removing the clamshell and old Weimar Republic grip insignia to update it. The police armorers left the clamshell collar in place and simply ground the shell off and replaced the star grip insingia with a new M1936 grip eagle. Notice both have painted steel scabbards and KS98 style hilts. The blades are new old stock (NOS) as well.

Parts is parts!
