JimD Posted June 8, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 8, 2019 This is a M35 ET 64 helmet with a liner band dated 1938. It has double decals visible under the camouflage. The chinstrap is a later RB marked example. The pot has an apple green original coat of paint, over which is a rough green camo, over which is a tan camo. The interior has its original coat of paint. I am very leery of camo helmets for obvious reasons but this one has nice wear and darkened patina on the crown and good wear and patina on the edges. It looks to have honest wear. Thanks for looking. Jim

Bugme Posted June 9, 2019 Share #3 Posted June 9, 2019 These are the overpainted helmets that you DON'T mess with! Very nice Jim.
JimD Posted June 9, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted June 9, 2019 Agreed. The Army Shield decal, viewed up close, looks to have been purposefully lightly painted over, as opposed to "excavated" by a collector.
