Brig Posted June 8, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 8, 2019 A few interesting Vichy France related badges. While the Vichy government hesitated to refer to itself as fascist, it of course was. The badges with the winged helmet were membership badges for the 'Legion Francaise de Combattants', or 'Legion of French Combatants'. From what I have gathered, the ones with the swords running through them represented combat service, as opposed to those without. The 'Petain' pin I believe to be a supporter/sympathizer pin available for civilians to privately purchase. While Petain was a well-known name before the Vichy government, the coloring of the badge is consistent with other Vichy-era badges.
