vintageproductions Posted July 2, 2019 Share #1 Posted July 2, 2019 I found this piece of headgear in Japan many years ago at a show, and could never figure out why the local collectors paid no attention to it. Brown wool body. The ship tally is a silk woven style and I believe it is from the 1920's when the British Navy visited Japan, or when the Japanese Navy visited the British, could never figure it out exactly. Probably made for a wife / girlfriend or maybe a kid. Always amazed to see pieces like this survive. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
