p-59a Posted November 17, 2019 Author Share #10 Posted November 17, 2019 Unusual find at a thrift store. Took a whack to the top at some point! It was a Lutheran thrift store to boot. I was stunned to find it. I also picked up a WW2 airborne wrist compass without the wrist band.

SARGE Posted November 18, 2019 Share #12 Posted November 18, 2019 Your helmet is a Fire Department (Feuerwehr) helmet. The little leather tabs on the inside liner is for the attachment of a leather shield to keep water off the back of your neck when fire fighting. Good price! Congrats. Rakkasan187 Posted November 20, 2019 Share #16 Posted November 20, 2019 Very nice.. I wouldn't have any issues adding this to my helmet collection, regardless of the dent on the top.. Great price too.. Leigh
