Farnes retired from the RAF in 1958. There are believed to be only two other surviving BoB pilots. The Few are now fewer.

Farnes lived a long and happy life and was, quite obviously, a remarkable man.

Regards,

Charlie

He is back flying in the sky, good travels.I having grown up when the WW2 gentlemen and a few ladies vets were in their 40's , always eager to hear their stories of their service,I developed some friendships and it fostered my passion for that period of history and I am thankful to them for that!
