Interesting Panzer 4 crewman tank jacket
patches replied to iron bender's topic in TR PHOTOS & EPHEMERA
An interesting one, see, he's apparently an Heer Officer, wearing a Parachute Helmet, Italy June 1944, no other info on officer, we see he's not wearig a Camo Smock, just a Tunic, posably either a Reed Green or Tropical one, so maybe just posing with one on???. - Yesterday

Niger, officially the Republic of the Niger, is a landlocked country in West Africa. It is bordered by Libya to the northeast, Chad to the east, Nigeria to the south, Benin and Burkina Faso to the southwest, Mali to the west, and Algeria to the northwest. The French were a major influence in the region and the official language is French. At one time Niger had an Airborne Unit. It is unknown if they still do. Here are some representative Parachute wings from Niger. All were made by DRAGO in Paris, France except the upper left which was made by another French company, Arthus Bertrand of Paris.

Thank you gentlemen. Means a lot coming from you two.

Thank you! Next step was a wash with "Citadel Agrax Earthshade". After it has dried I drybrushed the whole gun again with Tamiya XF-60 dark yellow.

Awesome collection! Thanks for sharing.

I got this one while attending a NATO Intel Officer's Course at the school at Ashford, Kent in the early 90s from two young Lts from the (then new) Zimbabwe Intel Corps (one Black, one White). We had some interesting discussions!

Very nice! Had not seen these before.

Great collection and presentation!

thank you. I really appreciate it. I may end up with it then as I do not have a WWII Italian helmet in my collection. The person who owns it has been collecting all his life. He likely picked it up in a rural location around 40 years ago or so. Maybe even longer. So makes sense to me it is a likely bringback. Thank you.

Küstrin is a city about 80 kilometers east of Berlin. Since 1945 it´s Polish (Kostrzyn nad Odra). Until now I couldn´t find anything about the manufacturer as well. -

I have not been able to find anything on "Willy Brage" or Kuftrin.. This may be a very small clothes manufacturer or a fantasy stamp.. I will have to look closer at home Leigh -
I´m starting with the shoulder boards: Worn by former East German NVA "Bausoldaten" (construction soldiers). These were draftees who refused the military service with weapons. Pairs of these boards are sold for about $10 over here. P.S.: I´m moving this topic to the "Can you ID?" section where it will draw more attention.
