Bruce Linz Posted October 19, 2018 Share #1 Posted October 19, 2018 Hello, Can anyone identify this medal? The ribbon is purple and green. Thanks for your help. Link to comment
Bugme Posted October 19, 2018 Share #2 Posted October 19, 2018 The writing looks to be Pakistani. No clue what it was for. Link to comment
patches Posted October 21, 2018 Share #3 Posted October 21, 2018 It's certainly in the manner of a British Service Medal, so perhaps it is Pakistani or maybe Sudanese, as they like the Indians continued many of the traditions they had as a part of the old Indian Army. Link to comment
patches Posted October 21, 2018 Share #4 Posted October 21, 2018 Looks like a ZULU Shield on there right Link to comment
lettow Posted October 22, 2018 Share #5 Posted October 22, 2018 It is the Sudan Native Officer's Medal. First issued in 1933, it appears to be quite scarce as the only sale I could find was from 2009 for £880. Link to comment
patches Posted October 23, 2018 Share #6 Posted October 23, 2018 Great job lettow. Here's a grouping sold back in 2016. It's description and price.
