jmd62 Posted October 22, 2018 Share #4 Posted October 22, 2018 I wish! I actually don't have any LW badges.
Eric Queen Posted October 22, 2018 Share #5 Posted October 22, 2018 A well known badge made post war by Souval. Brehmer was located in Markneuenkirchen not Berlin and they never did produce a paratrooper badge (nor any other qualification badges as far as I know)
Cobra 6 Actual Posted October 22, 2018 Author Share #6 Posted October 22, 2018 Bummer. Thanks, Eric. I bought this from a well-known collector ... guess he was wrong in his assessment of it being original WWII.
Eric Queen Posted October 22, 2018 Share #7 Posted October 22, 2018 I highly recommend Tom's book to anyone interested in investing in German badges. https://www.amazon.com/German-Luftwaffe-Paratrooper-Badges-World/dp/0981929524/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1540234188&sr=1-1&refinements=p_27%3AThomas+Durante

jmd62 Posted October 22, 2018 Share #9 Posted October 22, 2018 Sorry to hear that about your badge Joe. Hopefully the seller will be willing to refund you. I'm with Eric, Tom's books are all great. Somewhat related, but for anyone collecting Panzer Assault Badges, I would highly recommend Phillipe DeBock's "The German Panzer Assault Badge of World War II." The (2 volumes) have helped me on many occasions.
Jeff V. Posted October 30, 2018 Share #10 Posted October 30, 2018 Yea, that is a bad one. Like Eric said Tom's book is really excellent.

Looked into buying this book. It is $1000 plus on Amazon. That is steep! Of course if you are a consistent buyer of these medals I guess it is worth it but for a one off? Eric Queen Posted January 18, 2021 Share #12 Posted January 18, 2021 That's nuts. Here is one for $200. https://bdpublish.com/The-German-Luftwaffe-Heer-Paratrooper-Badges-of-WWII
