SARGE Posted October 30, 2018 Share #1 Posted October 30, 2018 Gents, Here is a nice example of an Imperial German Artillery Enlisted/NCO sword. This Extra Waffen (private purchase) style of sword was a bit more fancy than the issue sword and could have been worn on parade or for off duty walking out dress. The Faustremen knot on the guard is original to the sword and indicates the rank and unit. In this case, it is the style of knot for an Enlisted man. The blade is nicely etched with Artillery motifs and the sword and scabbard have matching unit markings.
