Oh, I've been wanting to track this down for ages now! (My Dad is Cuban, actually born in Cuba and his parents came over escaping Castro . . . so I always like finding pre-Castro Cuban stuff!) Got this button (about the size of a small brass USN/USCG button. It has the Cuban seal on it. Would love to figure out what it came from and when it is from! So, if anyone has any ideas . . . would love to hear any thoughts!

I tried getting pics that show detail --

  • 2 years later...

Since they don't have a wreath around the coat of arms I'm going to say Castro era.

Before 1959 they looked like this picture.

Looks that way.

But whats strange is my circa late 70's to late 80's buckle has the wreath so maybe I am wr wr wr wrong?

Then in the late 80's-early 90's they also had this FAR buckle.  "Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias"
