Militaria of the Past Posted November 16, 2018 Share #1 Posted November 16, 2018 If had this for awhile. Unfortunately I don't know the history behind this. It could be a field modified EK 1st class to Knights cross or EK 2nd class. It also could just been done post-war and worn as piece of jewelry, but I use to have it displayed as a Knights Cross on one of my uniforms till I sold the uniform. Made by CF Zimmermann/Godet Would like to hear others opinions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Brig Posted November 17, 2018 Share #2 Posted November 17, 2018 Could have also been converted to a watch fob or similar as a war trophy by a capturing soldier. I have photos in my collection of a US Marine who did just that with a captured EK in WWI.
