stratasfan Posted November 30, 2018 Share #1 Posted November 30, 2018 This is a portrait of a British officer, who would serve in the Royal Scots Greys, 2nd Dragoons. Around WWI. Would love to find out what medal he is wearing. Also, those aren't the RSG insignia that I know. Anyone have an idea what he is wearing? He would go on to win the Military Cross, but this medal isn't that. Thanks for any help! Elizabeth Link to comment
stratasfan Posted November 30, 2018 Author Share #2 Posted November 30, 2018 I found the medal . . . it is the 1902 Edward VII Coronation Medal. Still would like to know what the collar devices are! Thanks! Link to comment
12A54 Posted November 30, 2018 Share #3 Posted November 30, 2018 I’m certainly not an expert, but I believe the collar insignia is for the Grenadier Guards. Link to comment
