Chinese WWII and Post war Hat badges

Once in a while, a wreath type hat badge is placed for sale on ebay and I noticed most times it is listed as WWII (shown below, mounted on the right hat).

I wouldn't really say this is WWII because post war Chinese uniform regulations called for a new uniforms and insignias. Officer's hat insignias were redone with a red ring around the sun badge surrounded by a wreath. The ski caps were dropped in favor of a visor hat instead. Some officers continued to use the ski caps up to the early 1950s though.

The same badge was slightly modified after 1949, by removing the red ring (some said it was a bad omen to have a red ring around the sun because the red represented the communists and therefore "surrounding" the nationalists) and is still used today in Taiwan.

On the left is a WWII era ski cap and on the right is a reproduction visor with an original wreath insignia.
