P-40Warhawk Posted January 11, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 11, 2019 These are infamous for deteriorating, into this ugly bubbled plastic you see on this example. This is dated 1945, and normally I did not collect anything past 1942, but the toothbrushes are/were not falling off trees around here, so it was better to have one than not. Especially when you aren't looking for one. If there are reproductions available, I think I would be inclined to use a repro for display; this is in such bad shape that it is not representative of it's 1945 appearance. As far as I am aware this is unfortunately all too common with these late-war nylon toothbrushes. Link to comment
