A piece I picked up in the 1970s, but even with the internet, I find very little about these badges. I believe that this was worn to commemorate service in the field during Christmas 1915. If anyone has more detailed history on these Weihnacten im Felde badges, iI would appreciate learning more.

Gude :)
This is a donation badge.
"Christmas in the field"
A special group of the War Welfare Office dealt exclusively with the organization of Christmas packages. These were largely collected by Viennese and Lower Austrian school children. On December 17, 1914, six special trains with a total of 161 wagons drove from the Vienna Northwest Station to the theaters of war. During this and the following years allied troops - German, Bulgarian, Ottoman - received the gift deliveries. As the war progressed, however, food shortages and inflation made it increasingly difficult to raise enough donations. [26]
Similar special packages were also sent for Easter and for the Emperor birthday.
