1845p Infantry Officer's Sword?

Am thinking this is a British 1845p Infantry Officer's Sword. Would love any thoughts from anyone! This is another sword in the family that my Sister is an archivist for. To my own untrained eye, it generically looks similar to the USN officer sword.

@Will M  That would fit well with one family member who was gazetted as an Ensign in the Cornwall 32 Regt. of Foot in 1822 and then as Lieut.-Colonel of the North Cornwall Yeomanry Cavalry in 1827. Would that seem a good match to you? That gent also had a son in the Life Guards (c. 1850) and a son in the Coldream Guards (died in the Crimea in 1854). Do you think one of the sons could have used the sword above, too (or rather than the father)?

The sword pattern continued to 1894, with 1895 having a new steel hilt. The sword works foir any infantry regiment but not guard regiments. CG swords from 1854 were steel hilt with crest in the guard, may have used the brass 1822/45 previous to that. LG are cavalry so could not use infantry swords.

There are two Coldstream swords in the family collection, but the Coldstream officer was serving from 1847 to 1854. He may have used his father's sword in the early years there, but they may just have put this one away. I suppose it would matter by the date of the two Coldstream Swords. I will get the pictures of those posted here today, and you can see them. :)
