My 1964 dated French Beret - What unit

Here is my only French Beret thus far. Can anyone tell me the unit and what the roped knots under the badge stand for? Thanks,

This is a beret for the 1er Regiment de Hussards Parachutistes.

or 1st Parachute Hussard Regiment.

 

The embroidered emblem under the metro dextrochere is a Hongroise.

The unit was originally formed back in 1720!
