Here is an item I I have had for a while and I was hoping to find out more about it.

There are no markings on the back I am attaching a photo of it as well as close ups of the front of the disc. Any help appreciated.

Robert, I think I have found it. Your item is a NVA Kreisrechenscheibe (Circular Calculating Disk). I talked to a former NVA staff officer. It was used by fire direction and surveying sections of the NVA Artillery. Here's the same disk pictured in an Arty manual.
