Flächentarn helmet cover & hood - second Modell

Here is the second model of the buttoned hood and helmet cover in Flächentarn (surface camouflage) for the combat suit 64 of the NVA, made 1965-66.

 

The face veil was stowed here with buttoned tabs. The buttons are made of chocolatebrown bakelite.

 

 

At the bottom are 4 holes to attach the hood to the jacket.

The third and fourth modell of the Flächentarn hood & helmet covers were not to button and have no holes at the lower edge.
