I have been on the USMF for a number of years but that only covers half of my hobby interests. I bought my first German medals back in 1965 off of a coin shop bid board while looking for Imperial German coins. Within the German field my greatest interest centers on the Franco Prussian war and the local issues to veterans on the 25th anniversary of that war and the medals of German Veterans living in the USA. Swiss medals issued to troops guarding their borders during the various wars are also on my hot list. I have been a member of OMSA since 1975 and retired from Krause Publications after nearly 31 years in their World Coins publications.
