This is a link to the best resource for Identifying and viewing French decorations and medals. The author (it is a French website, so if you can't make out the basic descriptions, have GoogleTranslate just translate the page! It works really well!) has compiled photographs of over 4,000 French awards. They are nicely separated by Official Awards, Commemorative medals, Medals/Award given by Associations, etc. You can't beat this! He has basic titles and descriptions when needed.
