SARGE Posted May 25, 2019 Share #1 Posted May 25, 2019 Gents, Here is a Carabinieri lapel pin made to go through the button hole on a civilian suit. It is made of stamped brass in the general format for the flaming grenade insignia of the Carabinieri. Interestingly the circle where the entwined "VE" indicating King Victor Emanuel has been painted over with white paint. Is this a wartime insignia modified for postwar use or perhaps a RSI modification from late in the war? Any ideas or comments would be appreciated.
