Rod Posted April 24, 2020 Share #51 Posted April 24, 2020 Re original poster's helmet: "North 7" could be "Hokubu" 北部 7 which was the... 7th Engineer Regiment Replacement Unit, 7th Depot Division. These troops were conscripted in Hokkaido where the 5th Area Army was responsible for defending Hokkaido, Sakhalin Is. and the Kuriles.
