BrianD Posted June 28, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 28, 2019 Wife found these at a yard sale today and picked them up for me. Don't think they are real because there were a bunch of badges with these as well. I can show them here as well if anyone is interested? I know zero about any USSR/Russian items so help would be great!
BrianD Posted June 28, 2019 Author Share #2 Posted June 28, 2019 are they even real?
Allan H. Posted June 28, 2019 Share #3 Posted June 28, 2019 Brian, They are real. You have to remember that the Soviets put out tons and tons of medals during and after WWII. I don't see anything rare or valuable in the group, but they will sell if they are relatively inexpensive. Allan
BrianD Posted June 28, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted June 28, 2019 Here are the pins. All this stuff looks like it could have been made for a flea market or something?

Ivydiv Posted June 28, 2019 Share #6 Posted June 28, 2019 The medal with the green ribbon with red stripes looks like a South Vietnamese Civil Action medal 1st class. Given to most anyone who served in Vietnam.
BEAST Posted July 3, 2019 Share #7 Posted July 3, 2019 A lot of the little light weight pieces that look like they were made for a flea market are znachkis. Little souvenir pins you can buy at newspaper stands in Russian cities. Just to clarify, I didnt mean any of the ribboned medals that you are showing. MattS Posted October 30, 2019 Share #8 Posted October 30, 2019 Is the guards badge a screw-back? Very bottom of the sideways last photo in post #4.
MattS Posted November 11, 2019 Share #9 Posted November 11, 2019 Thanks for posting the rear! I can't imagine having that screw-post on your chest was pleasant, especially if you had to go prone.
