I've had this flag for many yrars. It's made of cotton and has the name of a Marine inked in on the lower corner. Any translations would be welcome. Thanks - bob

Here is the flag in its correct orientation.

 

The flag belonged (was given) to 河村 Kawamura (surname) ** 文質 Fumishichi (given name)

 

** this is my guess. I have never seen this name before. Perhaps someone else has a better feel for it.

 

奉公 Houkou (read right to left on top left) = public service

 

The others are difficult to read with this angle
