Leo Posted September 15, 2019 Share #1 Posted September 15, 2019 Evening all So this is something I have never come across, I was at a show today and literally was doing my very last round of the stalls and burlap helmet caught my eye. Camouflage covers on M1 helmets are my thing, But this is a British WW2 helmet. Even tho I am British and my family served with the desert rats I have always collected US items. But something about this really caught my eye, the burlap has been on there forever and the liner inside is good , plus it has the chinstrap. The whole rig has the look and hasnt been Touched since it came back. Its been stored somewhere, and came to this seller via a house clearance. Well as Im totally out of my pond with this one, How rare is an original burlap British helmet. And just to add , the burlap is formed and stuck to the helmet, its filthy and also has a red paint mark on the side Looking forward to hearing your comments , was it a good Pick up. If this was a burlap covered M1 helmet then it would be like winning the jackpot - Dean
