walika Posted November 3, 2019 Share #1 Posted November 3, 2019 Perhaps you have seen one or more of my posts on the ASMIC forums. I need some help with the following. I have this beautiful silk scarf with two emblems embroidered onto it for which I need help to ID. With the scarf was this quilted chit The Chinese lettering is embroidered. If someone can help with a translation that would be wonderful! Below is a closer view of two emblems embroidered onto the silk scarf. If someone can help with a translation, and/or guidance as to ID, that would be fantastic! # 1 #2 Also, I have this unidentified patch (not from the lot above). I have a tentative translation but no ID. Help with either would be greatly appreciated. This is what I have been informed the patch above reads:READS BACKWARDS FROM RIGHT TO LEFT, IN ESSENCE, HERE IS WHAT IT SAYS...TOP ROW - CHARACTERS ON WHITE: CHINESE AIR FORCE, FAR AWAY CONQUERORS -LOWER PORTION, ON BLACK LOWER SECTION OF THE PATCH: "SENT TO INDIA - FROM CHINESE NATIONALIST PARTY"... Thanks for taking a look at this post. Cheers, Rick

Hsin C. Posted November 5, 2019 Share #4 Posted November 5, 2019 The top says Expedition - Air Force 遠征空軍 Bottom says 中國 China 駐印 Stationed Looking up 中國駐印, it gives the Chinese Expeditionary forces (中國駐印軍)in the CBI. Seems, the person who gave you the translation is off somewhat maybe? It could well be the translation i was given is off. Would you say this indicates it is an insignia issued to Chinese forces in the CBI or American forces? Hsin C. Posted November 5, 2019 Share #7 Posted November 5, 2019 I am not too sure. I have seen some CAI (Chinese Army in India) patches, and I don't know if its original or not. Construction of it looks nice, probably are originals from what I can remember. The only way to know is to find pictures of soldiers wearing these patches.
