qed4 Posted December 3, 2019 Share #6 Posted December 3, 2019 These were sold in surplus stores a few years ago. The fact that they are marked Made in Israel tells you they were made fr export.

earlymb Posted December 7, 2019 Share #8 Posted December 7, 2019 Israeli copies of the French 'Chaussures de Brousse' (bush shoes) aka 'pataugas' the later variant with the buckles. The Israeli used large amounts of French materials and clothing, and produced some of it themselves.
patches Posted December 14, 2019 Share #9 Posted December 14, 2019 Yeah that's right, The Trader Army - Navy Store, other Army-Navy Stores. like Iceberg, MASH, Kaufmans in NYC sold these, I bought a pair of Black ones at The Trader like in 1998, They also make low cut ones without the buckle tops in the same colors, in fact I bought a pair of the low cut ones several years ago of Amazon that I still wear occasionally.
