daskrieg Posted March 6, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 6, 2020 I found a 1915 dated Prussian lobstertail pickelhaube on ebay needs some work but looks like it would be a good restoration project. What does anyone else think?? I am not the seller of this item but i have bought from this seller before he has some great items..

daskrieg Posted March 9, 2020 Author Share #5 Posted March 9, 2020 Any thoughts on this helmet?
SARGE Posted March 9, 2020 Share #6 Posted March 9, 2020 It looks like it is just a rusty shell to me. Not enough parts for a restoration and wildly overpriced IMHO. This one would not be for me. I hope this helps.
daskrieg Posted March 10, 2020 Author Share #7 Posted March 10, 2020 What would it be worth in this condition?
SARGE Posted March 11, 2020 Share #8 Posted March 11, 2020 Well, I would think around $300 IMHO. Parts are hard to find and expensive. Since the shell is in poor condition overall you would only wind up with a so-so parts helmet that you have put a lot of time and effort and money in. Just my thinking mind you.
